Notes and account
Guest notes stay on your device. After signing in to the shared Baiboki email account, account notes and updates are stored at api.baiboki.com and synchronized across Baibo Note devices signed in to that account. Baibo Translate can display these notes in read-only form. You import guest notes manually. The server stores account ID, email, sessions, note content and revision numbers; note records are isolated by account. Closing the shared account deletes Baibo Note cloud records. Purchase and necessary accounting records are handled as required by law. Clear app data or uninstall to remove local copies. Titles, multiline text, checkbox markers, project links and requirements, Home display flags and manual ordering synchronize with account records. Tasks can be appended to a project. Closing a project stops its reminders and those of its tasks while retaining records. AI analysis of a new project task may send the project title and requirements as context to the AI service you select. Local records load before session verification and background synchronization; delayed responses do not overwrite intervening edits.
Voice input
Speech recognition uses offline models on your device. Recorded audio is processed locally and is not sent to Baiboki servers. The Chinese model is included with the app. When you first use English, Japanese or Korean, the app downloads the corresponding model from the Vosk model server. The download request sends the network information needed to connect to that server. Recognized text enters an editable draft and becomes a note only when you save it.
AI and personal APIs
With a personal API, your text and API key go directly to the HTTPS provider you configured. The key is stored in device secure storage, not on Baiboki servers. Save stores your input without calling AI and displays it on Home. AI analysis sends it for analysis and saves separate tasks and memories only after success; the full original remains available and each result can be edited. Cancellation or failure keeps the draft without adding records. The app asks for permission before the first analysis using an API configuration and its address. Hosted AI analysis shows an estimated credit cost for the first approval. Later analyses you request for the same account reuse that approval when their estimate does not exceed the approved estimate; a higher estimate requires approval again. Actual deductions follow usage, so an estimate is not a fixed charge. Memory questions require confirmation of the content and cost each time. The question and up to twenty selected saved records are sent to AI, using relevant records or recent ordinary memories when no topic matches. Hosted requests go through Baiboki servers; personal API requests go directly to your chosen provider. Request IDs, model, usage and credit ledger entries are retained for billing and disputes. Successful AI analysis results are saved directly; review them before acting. Conversational suggestions do not make purchases, contact others or decide for you. Cycle rules, labels and review schedules are synced with the account.
Purchases and credits
Android purchases are verified with Google Play and on the server. The server retains protected purchase credentials, product, balances and ledger entries with originating app and platform. Balances are separate per app; cross-app gifts and transfers are not supported. No payment or artificial credit grant happens while store products are disabled.
Your controls
You can sign out, clear local data, or close your account on the shared account page. For access, correction or deletion requests, email privacy@baiboki.com. The general Baiboki privacy policy also applies where relevant.
Recurring follow-up and regular review
Records may be labeled as one-off references, temporary tasks to archive when done, recurring follow-ups, regular reviews or long-term memories. Archiving does not erase the original; you can search past records and select a previous travel checklist before reuse. The app stores the next follow-up time when you capture, complete or change a cycle. Built-in intervals are editable check-in suggestions. Explicit user intervals take precedence. Reviews default to every seven days; you can change the interval and next review time. Rules, labels and review settings sync with account records. Guest settings stay on the device. System notifications store reminder times and associated record identifiers; delivery depends on permissions, power management and platform limits.
Weather, location and web search
Weather uses a city you select manually, or your current location after you tap the location action and grant foreground location permission. The app does not track you continuously or request background location. Coordinates rounded to two decimal places are sent through api.baiboki.com to retrieve and cache MET Norway forecasts. Explicitly submitted city-search terms are sent by the server to OpenStreetMap Nominatim. Automatic location also sends coordinates rounded to two decimal places through the server to resolve the city name; street and house addresses are not requested or stored. These services receive network connection information; notebook text and account passwords are not sent to them. The selected city and forecast cache are stored on your device. Weather is attributed to MET Norway under CC BY 4.0; city search is attributed to OpenStreetMap.
AI organization involving weather or reusable trip checklists may include the selected city, dated and sourced forecasts, relevant past checklist excerpts and the current input. Personal APIs request renewed permission when expanding to this context; hosted calls follow the approved estimate ceiling. When forecasts cannot be verified, search may use administrator-configured web-capable routes or your selected API search interface. Providers may charge extra for search. Unverified weather is not stored as fact, and advice does not execute actions for you.
