1. Scope of use
BaiboMusic is provided by Guohao Fang (方国浩) for Android. It requires no account and contains no ads. Use music, lyrics and other files only as authorized, in accordance with applicable rules and rights-holder permissions.
2. Local playback and selection
The app supports local MP3, APE, FLAC, WAV and other audio. Playability also depends on encoding, file integrity and device capability. You can filter by folder, duration or size, create playlists, mark favorites, queue songs to play next, and select a listening range in the playback list.
Often played and New discoveries are sampling modes: higher or lower play counts respectively receive more weight. They do not create separate libraries or guarantee that a song will be chosen or will not repeat consecutively. Up Next items follow their added order. Chorus analysis suggests segments that may be inaccurate; you can listen and adjust them manually. Lyrics appear only when a readable associated lyrics file is found.
Two 30-minute sounds ship with the app and play offline: quieter white noise with a slow rise and fall, and a nature soundscape mixed from real rain-on-leaves, bird and cricket recordings. Rain stays softer in the background. Recordings are level-adjusted and crossfaded; this is not a continuous recording of one location or a verified banana-leaf recording. Sources use CC0 1.0; authors, links and licenses are in Sound sources in Settings. Loop and set a sleep timer; removed entries stay removed and can be restored from Add.
Three bass presets enhance the original low frequencies. Optional bass resonance continuously follows prominent source bass pitch and level, adding bass and harmonics. It fades when bass or analysis disappears and adds no extra drum hits. Adjust fullness and resonance strength; switching bass off also disables resonance.
File selection and Open In or sharing from another app read only files you explicitly provide. Audio, lyrics and covers are copied into private app storage, preserving originals and avoiding dependence on temporary sharing grants. SHA-256 is computed locally for duplicate detection; files, hashes and names are not sent to our servers. Existing favorites, play counts and playlist records are not overwritten by identical files. Ambiguous same-name lyrics or covers are not automatically linked.
3. Your files and backups
Removing a song from a playlist keeps it in the library. Removing it from the library keeps its original file but clears its app record and playlist memberships; scanning can add it again. Deleting an original file requires confirmation and applicable system authorization. The app cannot restore a successfully deleted file, so make your own backup when needed.
Listening-record and playlist backups include no music files or lyrics text. Imported playlists reference only songs already in the device library. Missing audio is not downloaded or restored by the app.
While playback is active with the screen on and unlocked, the app attempts to update notification artwork once per second. These updates stop when paused, locked or screen-off. Visible refreshes and their smoothness depend on the system; notification artwork cannot be guaranteed to animate as smoothly as the in-app full-screen visual.
4. Sound, visuals and controls
Bass enhancement and other effects use this app’s audio processing. They are not Sony or Walkman algorithms and are not affiliated with those brands. Results vary by headphones, source audio and device. Adjust volume and effect strength to your hearing preferences. Smooth transitions cannot guarantee the absence of every transient sound on all hardware.
Six interactive visuals respond to this app’s audio. Gestures change visuals, not sound or play counts; beat detection is not guaranteed to be exact for every track. Headset buttons, lock-screen controls, background playback and sleep timers up to 24 hours also depend on Android, headphones and power management. You can stop after the current song or after a chosen number of songs.
5. Official documents and updates
Opening a legal page may fetch the official text online; offline, the app uses a validated cache or bundled copy. See the privacy policy for details. Updates may change features or compatibility. New data uses will be separately explained, and a document update does not replace any required consent.

Local files and playback tools
New tools process local files only. Smart playlists follow local history. Duplicate comparison offers review and audition without automatic file deletion. Ambiguous M3U or backup matches require selection or are skipped; the app supplies no music files, downloads or cloud sync.
Volume leveling applies a constant track gain while preserving dynamics. Album mode uses a shared gain once all matching album tracks have been analyzed. Choose normal transitions or separate fade-in/out: each song finishes before the next begins, without overlap. Fades soften each song’s beginning and ending for about three song seconds each, shorter for brief clips. Music supports smooth 0.5–3× speed changes with pitch preservation, without modifying original files; decoding failures use compatibility playback. Headphone profiles depend on output identities exposed by Android; devices sharing a name and lacking an address may share a profile.
Audiobooks support independent progress, bookmarks and speed. Ambient playback uses your own local audio, with looping and optional sleep fade. TXT narration requires an installed offline voice for its language. When unavailable, the app shows a message and does not automatically download voices or use online narration.
Library organization and queues
Tap the next icon to insert a track immediately after the current track; hold for about 0.4 seconds to choose next or the end of this queue. The first append freezes one finite remaining round, then adds the track; the original playback mode resumes afterward. Categories include artists, albums, release years, genres, custom tags and actual folders. Add tracks to a category in batches and edit multiple tags per track. Missing date tags appear as unknown year; a year or full date may be entered manually. Lyrics timing is saved per track: positive delays and negative advances. Adjust in 0.2-second steps or enter -600 to 600 seconds. Artwork availability depends on embedded tags, neighboring images and file permissions.
10. Lyrics authoring and optional AI
Your provider bills your API account; no Baibo or Baiboki credits are spent. Cancellation may still incur processed-audio charges. This app currently has no credit-based audio recognition, credit purchases or account wallet and does not reuse other app products. You must have authorization for audio, lyrics and their use. Keep external backups of important drafts. AI results are editable drafts with no accuracy guarantee; cancellation may not recall uploaded audio or prevent provider charges.
